All Sorts of Recycling in 2012: e-Recycling and Christmas tree removal this week

E-Recycling (Jan 2nd-Jan 7th)
This week we will be collecting broken & obsolete electronics for e-recycling! Because these products should not be simply dumped into the trash can with the rest of your waste, they often sit around offices and houses cluttering up usable space. E-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the country, so we know you have some you are looking to get rid of. In 2012, rid yourself of those items and use your space more productively.
Yes, this does include TVs, computers, computer peripherals, radios, VCR & DVD players, AC units, copy, scanner & fax machines. Please get in touch for a quote as cost depends on location (Center City, West & South Philly only) and item.
Christmas Tree Removal (January 7th)
And for all you folks in West Philadelphia looking to get rid of the tree in your living room, Saturday is your lucky day. We'll be collecting Christmas trees from residents located between 30th & 55th Streets. We are charging $10 per tree. Please email us at pedalcoop[at]gmail[dot]com to let us know if you want a tree picked up. Rather than sending the trees to a landfill or incinerator, the trees will be chipped for mulch.
We'll be hauling both trees and recyclable electronics to the University City District sponsored recycling day in Clark Park, January 7th.
